Forget the misconception that if you want to lose weight now, you have to rework your entire life and never eat anything enjoyable again. You can get this done with some common sense strategies, not super-demanding diet and fitness programs that leave you with no spare time or enjoyment in life. Extremes are bad, all-around when it comes to your health. This include low-carb, no-carb, and those silly lemonade cleansing diets. You don't have to go to those lengths to lose weight now. Besides, as uncomfortable as programs like that are, you'd never stick with them. You want a real life strategy to lose weight now, and keep it off for good.
Okay, to lose weight now, you need a program that's at least flexible and enjoyable enough for you to want to stick to. But you'll have to change some life habits, not just the food you eat. Drastic changes often put people into a type of shock, and they relapse quickly. Cutting fast food, however, isn't a horrible, life-threatening change. A friend of mine said he saw this popular movie about the fast food industry and the ingredients, and never touched fast food again; he wanted to lose weight now and he's been going strong for three years now. Okay, so cutting the unhealthy foods is one way to lose weight now. Replacing fattening meat such as steak and beef with more lean meat like poultry is also an easy change to work into your life.
Now we're on to the activity issue. Most people are way to sedentary in their habits. They spend extra time hunting for the closest parking space so they won't have to walk as far. They take the elevator instead of the stairs when they need to be on the second floor. That's no way to lose weight now. There are countless ways to simply work more physical activity into your overall lifestyle. The average New York City resident walks five miles a day. Five miles! Most people I know can't even run one mile without passing out or getting sick. So start moving. Get more active, and as time goes on you'll find it's an easy way to lose weight now.
Sport are good too. A lot of my clients tell me, "Look, I want to lose weight now, but I'm just not into any sports and I hate the gym." Thinking back to childhood activities that they enjoyed the most, where they had to run or just be active in general seems to help people come up with more activities they wouldn't mind doing to stay active enough to lose weight now.
