It¡¯s a problem that plagues so many men and women who are trying to sculpt that particular muscle group. However I will show you how to do it, and you will see results within just a few weeks. The problem most men and women have with training their calves is what exercises they should do and then not doing them with the proper intensity.
If you think about it, the calf muscles along with others leg muscles are very hard to train in the first place. The muscle fibers are some of the densest in your body. You started using these muscles as soon as you where old enough to hold you¡¯re self up, standing next to the couch or onto mom or dads pant leg. You can go for day, months or years without exercising or working out and yet you still use these muscles every hour of every day. Going up or down stairs, walking to your car, or just even doing some grocery shopping so can see that these muscles do get worked. So to get that look you want your going to work them in away that these muscles aren¡¯t use too.
When doing these exercises for your calves you¡¯re going to do them until you get that burn feeling. Now with saying that, don¡¯t go nuts so you can¡¯t walk the next day at work or at home, keep it sensible. Especially in the beginning build your muscles up to it and do not try for over night success.
I¡¯m going to suggest three really good calf exercises for you. If you do them you will see the results that you¡¯re looking for and that will make others very jealous.

1. Seated Calf Raises ¨C You should have two dumbbells for this. Start by sitting on a chair or a weight bench put the dumbbells on your legs just behind your knees and press up with your toes or the balls of your feet. Try for two sets of these doing as many as you can, remember the burn. Reps are up to you because everyone is different for this muscles group.
2. Standing Dumbbell Calf Raises ¨C With a dumbbell in each hand rise up onto your tip toes or the balls of your feet and slowly lower your self back down. Do your very best to do two sets of ten reps, for this exercise.
3. Donkey Calf Raises ¨C Put both dumbbells on the floor step on the handle of each with the ball of each foot. Hold onto a wall or table and with the balls of your feet on the handle of each dumbbells raise your self up slowly and the back down. Again do two sets of ten reps of these and in three weeks you will see results.
Knowing how to get bigger calf muscles is just one half of the pie. The other half is doing it and staying the course. I do assure you that if you do these exercises you will see results but I do suggest putting them in with a regular work out program.
